The meaning of yoga translates to “to yolk” or to merge. To merge with the divine, to life, to become consciously connected to all is the ultimate goal of yoga. To reach enlightenment, nirvana, peace. Yoga is an active form of meditation that focuses on practicing the asana’s (yoga poses), pranayama (breath work), and includes the use of mudras (hand positions), chanting and prayer.
As an instructor of yoga, I aim to give you the tools necessary to begin your own journey. Finding balance with a practice that is attainable and designed around your goals, spiritual nature and health needs. Yoga is a physical practice that eases emotional distress, increases flexibility and helps you connect to your higher self.
